Sochi. The best resorts of the Caucasus
Sochi is a city in southern Russia, located on the northeastern coast of the Black Sea in the Krasnodar region, 1,615 km from Moscow. The city's territory encompasses most of the southern slope of the Caucasus, from the Black Sea coast to the peaks of the Main Caucasus Range, reaching elevations of up to 3,500 meters above sea level. Sochi is unofficially known as the "resort capital of Russia", where the subtropical climate allows for a year-round tourist season, and also as the "Pearl of the Black Sea".
